About Me

Mother of Cole and Ella (and cat Max), wife of Russ, sister to Haley and Hunter, daughter of Herb and Sammye. Artist, designer, craft-aholic. Musically inclined, solo singer. Average cook and less-than-average cleaner, with a big sweet tooth, especially chocolate. Yeah, um, the sweet tooth didn't come in so handy when I got gestational diabetes. Thank God that went away when she was born.

My Interests

I love making jewelry. I bought a kiln to do glass fusing and learn about Precious Metal Clay, but I still haven't gotten around to using it...Santa brought some supplies and I still haven't done it! My latest hobby is making purses.

I'd like to meet:

Bette Midler

Music:

I miss it :) Cole takes up much of my time, but I have a fondness for '40's music. I also enjoy the '80's and some country, especially Sugarland since I went to college with the lead singer and saw her perform in her old group, Soul Miner's Daughter. Other favorite singers include (in no order): Bette Midler, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Jewel, Ginny Owens, Norah Jones and more.

Movies:

Love to quote movies, especially pretty much anything with Mike Meyers and Will Ferrell in it. I also like Owen Wilson's delivery. So, let's see, in no particular order: So I Married an Axe-Murderer, Austin Powers movies, Old School...oh, and I love Disney and Pixar movies (The Emperor's New Groove - love David Spade). Okay, I'm too tired to think right now.

Television:

TV Junkie - well, I used to be. Love to watch Medium, Heroes, American Idol, Lost, Ghost Whisperer, Extreme Makeover Home Edition...and more.

Books:

Jane Austin is my favorite author, but I also really enjoy the Harry Potter series, as well as the Chronicles of Narnia. I recently read The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters, Memoirs of a Geisha, Wicked, Five Quarters of the Orange, The Undomestic Goddess, Can You Keep a Secret (Sophie Kinsella is a great British author!), Touching the Void, The Red Tent, and the funniest book I've ever read is The Yes Man (it's pretty much a true story sort of biography). Book clubs are a great way to get you reading stuff you'd never pick out on your own!

Heroes:
