Back in 1995, did anyone expect that these four kids would arise a punkrock band that has up to now four albums recorded and over 150 shows played.
At the old prison of Lucerne, tapes from bands like “NoFx†and “Bad Religion†were the fuel to get this young band started.
In 1997, the band recorded its first EP “Time to eatâ€. Two years later, its LP “Tipsy†was distributed by MUVE all around Switzerland. A lot of shows were played in Switzerland and Germany, some with famous bands like “No fun at allâ€, “Samiamâ€, “Midtown†or „Boy sets fire“. In 2003 a member of the band founded a Recording Studio named “Tipsy Town Studiosâ€. A great possibility to record a further album. With a lot of time, new influences and the motivation to release the best record ever, they worked among a year on their new CD. The result was “TENâ€. Again under MUVE they released “TEN†in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and in co-operation with thexoomo.net in Germany and a lot of online stores like iTunes or Amazon.com.
Few months ago, they changed its name and released their first album under the new flag “The Bonkersâ€.
“Fight for Glory†was recorded at the Tipsy Town Studios again.
Straight and honest songs with a rough sound, powerful vocals and melodies you won’t forget.
At the moment, The Bonkers are on the “Taste Punkrock Tour IIâ€. They play shows in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
