I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and at the age of 15 started hanging out in Greenwich Village. I was always drawn to musicians and artists. Moved to Europe when I was 19 and a few years later learned how to play congas and percussion in London and Amsterdam and started playing professionally after a few months! Played with a reggae band in London called G.T. Moore and the Reggae Guitars and recorded a live album while touring Great Britain. Moved back to NYC later and played with many great local bands over the years and also some major artists including R&B singer Solomon Burke, Ben E. King, Ronnie Spector, The Harlettes (Bette Midler's back-up singers), Wayne Kramer (MC5), Ian McDonald (ex-Foreigner) and Dan Hartman ("I Can Dream About You", "Relight My Fire" and "Free Ride"). Played on many TV shows with Dan Hartman including Soul Train, Solid Gold, American Bandstand and David Letterman. While on the road we opened for Toto and I got the chance to sit in with them on "Africa". Also played in some off-Broadway shows including one at the Public Theatre written and directed by Liz Swados and another with Marc Shaiman as musical director. While playing and recording with bands around NYC I got the chance over the years to jam with Peter Frampton, Mitch Ryder, South Side Johnny, Buster Poindexter and the Average White Band. I've been living in South Florida since 1994. I still play some gigs but there's not much of a music scene here. I have played a few exciting gigs while in Florida including playing with my Samba School and backing up Gloria Estefan at Pro Player Stadium when the Marlins won the world series in 1997. We played at the celebration for 63,000 screaming fans! Very exciting!! And playing at the summit when all the Presidents from South America, Central America and North America were here. I'll never forgot seeing President Clinton and Hillary sitting in the first row when we performed. It was televised on PBS. Also, played in Korea and Japan with the Samba School during half time while Brazil played soccer against those countries. Of course Brazil won! These days I dance a lot since I don't play enough music. It's a real passion of mine. Started learning mambo in NYC with Eddie Torres in 1990 and haven't stopped dancing since! I'm now learning all the ballroom dances and I'm totally addicted.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet someone that is into the arts, loves music and dance. Someone that is positive, enjoys life, has a sense of humor (very important), spontaneous and likes to have fun! I'm a very open minded person and like to attract people that believe anything is possible in life. Also I have dogs and cats so they'd have to love animals too! I'm looking for someone that wants to commit and be in a loving, positive, harmonious and caring relationship.
