There he came into contact the first night he touched down at Headrush studios in Manhattan with none other than Mr. Hipsteppah himself TC IZLAM aka TC IZ for all the new jacks in this. TC was having a show that very night at a club called Shine in Lower Manhattan. When they were leaving the studio TC must have saw something in Blue cuz he insisted that Blue ride with him in a cab Downtown. Blue at the time was searching for who he was in life that night in the cab he found out with the help from TC just letting him know. He was Mr. William Watson from Boston and being himself was all he had to be. The stage was set within two weeks of hitting every club TC was rockin to the fresh new energy that Blue was providing TC decided to give him a job. Now there were definitely a few heads that were ahead of Blue on the totem pole (( and when I say a few I mean a few the number was in the single digits just so all you new HipSteppahz understand where Blue stands in the Movement )). TC felt as though Blue was the best one for the job. The job turned out to be Road Manager for HipStepMassive, Jungle Sky, W.A.R. Records, and also for LP of Soulpro. When they hit the road for the first time Blue had to overcome something a lot of people couldn't deal with. All of his clothes that he had just left Boston with had been lost by Greyhound on his way to ATL. With no worries Blue as always dealt with the problem and the crew quickly helped him with a solution and gave him some clothes from each of their belongings. Blue continued to lock down Promoters and worked them making sure none of HipStep, Jungle Sky, and W.A.R. money was messed up. If you have ever in your life been booked or run with any DJ or MC I'm sure you've heard the money problem stories. With various Promoters in different Cities the job is not easy. To Bluez credit in the 2 and a half years Road Managing none of the money the crew was promised ever came up missing. I would tell you how he handled each situation but thats all part of training to you new jacks. When they were getting ready to leave ATL a couple of crew members were going to take the bus. Therefore TC, and Blue decided to roll with them and give up there Plane tickets. Two days later they arrived in Phoenix, AZ. only to find out that the clothes that Blue was just blessed with were lost once again. Now come on people how does this shit happen twice and you don't lose your composure, but Blue didn't he knew that if he did it would just slow up what the crew as a whole were trying to get accomplished. Believe me people if you ever want to know someone for who they really are take them on a road trip and see what happens. 93% of the people usually flop out. After the long road Blue and TC ended back in their North New Jersey home where TC was getting ready to break out overseas to London. One problem, his Road Manager did not have his Passport due to legal problems. After TC broke out to London Blue received a call from a club owner in South Beach Miami, FL. It was a club named Zanzibar. Anyone who has been at the Winter Music Conference from 1999 to 2001 will remember an after party for the world of drum & bass at that particular club. Well that was all the work of Blue lockin down the club and TC rockin the stage at the world of drum & bass and the crew directing traffic down the alleys of South Beach to the back of the club. These parties were so exclusive alot of people were left in the alley begging and giving up what ever they had just to be inside. If you were there you know what I'm talking about. Over the years Blue has heard stories that this one and that one whom Blue has never even heard of, were the ones that actually threw those parties. Whoever you are please when you see Blue you should slow your ego head trip building and pay him HOMAGE for even putting something that historical together. Thats like telling someone that hiphop was started in Des Moines, Iowa come on with that bullshit. Blue continued to run the nightly promotions for Zanzibar after the conference was over with the help of DJ Boogie Waters from Soulpro. The duo began to break bread with each other Boogie DJing, and Blue lining the Parties up. After a while the owner pulled some funny style shit and Blue broke out back to Fort Liquordale with Boogie. When he arrived up there with Boogs he decided to take on a new challenge which was DJing. There with the help of one of the best mixers on the decks (( Boogie Waters )). Blue began his next journey which he would end up mixing within the first two weeks actually riding two records. Boogie and Blue started to get down on the MPC Boogie doing the sequencing with Blue Executive Producing along side him. They have made an EP's worth so far together which have never been released one track called "Slingin Soul" which was a dedication to the original Junglist in America DJ Soul Slinger. This track is an eclectic deep african drum rhythm with a Beastie Boys sample yelling Sao Paolo which is home of the god Slinger. They also have a remix of Jill Scott and Mos Def Love Rain that the streets have been begging for since they dropped a preview of it in a hotel room with some of NYC's premier artist and promoters. It's a sure get up out ya seat and hit the floor even if you can't dance. When Mos Def comes in with the rap the bass drop in the hip hop beat just bangs ya head. A beautiful sequence of events on that track. They also dropped "Like dude that do drum & bass" a straight MC track with no lyrics only for the real MC's in the game. They dropped a back and forth MC line 4 line track. Which Blue delivers a Soul touching intro on dissing anyone who he claims to be whack in the industry funny though cuz he still came out positive with the diss. "I can't wait for Blue to get his MCing skills up to par his writing speaks for itself watchout whack MC's careers will be lost for sure". He proved that on the Black Irish S.O.U.L.S. (B.I.S.) track and I quote " it's the spiritual individual droppin a visual lyrical miracle whack MC's to me invisible". What !!! Now that's what we need right now in hip hop. The B.I.S. is made up of Butta Verses who has recently signed with De La Soul you can catch him on a track called No on their latest album spittin them Butta metaphors " we eatin steak and potatoes and de las the greatest ". Also Boogie Waters, shit there isn't much Boogie hasn't done for people. I mean he's probably taught some of your favorite producers how to program believe it or not. I cant forget the brains behind the movement Blue. S.O.U.L.S. is Bluez Brainchild otherwise known as his creation. While sitting in Boogies front driveway in the hood of Pompano Beach, Florida. The two of them were sharing one of Boogs world famous El's ((for all yall that say El's the reason is El Producto so if your lighting a Dutch your smokin a Dutch not an El you nahmean )). Blue said " yo Boogs I got it ". Boogs looked at Blue like he was crazy which he is, he comes up with some I'm not even here right now with you only in the physical. Blue continued to say " I got it we're gonna kill em with this one ". Boogs was like what man what iz it. S.O.U.L.S. Blue said. Boogs looked at him wow thats great in a sarcastic vibe and then Blue broke it down. S = SOURCES O = OF U = UNIQUE L = LYRICS & S = SOUNDS Don't even think of trying to duplicate with his years in the music industry under his belt Blue has locked down LLC, Inc., Publishing, Name Rights, Copy rights and so on. He's seen too many of his closest friends with the most beautiful ideas and they end up getting stolen by some corporate Mutha Fuckaz. Bluez not having that, he has a very strong team of Lawyers he has formed over his years of being in and out of Jail. He's spent so much money with them keeping him on the outside they're willing to do anything for him. Right now Blue has been MCing Spring Break Parties throughout Ft. Lauderdale every year, and also DJing when promoters aren't trying to pay him $100.00 and a $50.00 bar tab. Come on man they don't pay bar tabs that's all inclusive and stop trying to diss people with short money they been telling yall for years they don't mess with low rent peoples. When those two business minds were linked 5 years ago by TC he knew they were gonna be dangerous together in a good way. Very positive individuals that will break you down in a split second very business savvy. They have both been in management taking their respected companies to the top only to let the owners know they wanted to pursue Urban Dwellers as a whole, and mold the company to where it needs to be. Right now there are a lot of distributors sleeping on them. I mean not dissing, but Ecko, PNB, Akademics, 555 Soul, and on and on they need to be distributed in the same manor as those respected companies. The artist involved Ska One, Zek One, Denz just to name a few are unbelievable talented and worldly respected on the Graff tip. Urban Dwellers is currently available in Florida, Minnesota, California, and Germany. It is a movement growing at a great rate of speed which they wouldn't have it any other way it is definitely their pace.
