Welcome to my page My name is Angela Plummer aka NaTURaL CaNVaS,you all know me as a hair stylist, I am also a person who loves life, A MOTHER, A DAUGHTER, A AUNTIE, A SISTER, A FRIEND AND A LOVER.I grew up in North London and started braiding hair at the tender age of ten. What drove me to start braiding my own hair at such a young age, was my mum being ill and the painful experience of a typical West Indian ritual, the weekly braiding or even worse two weekly torture and trial of washing and braiding the afro kinky locks of my hair. The ritual consisted of my mother combing and pulling on my hair causing me to jump with pain, resulting in a series of hard tapping on my forehead with the comb in order for me to keep still (or the term better known by West Indian's as konking or chopping me in the head !). One day after this weekly ritual of jumping and chopping, I declared to my mum 'this is the last time your braiding my hair!' and so from that day, every two weeks I braided my own hair . Over the years I developed a very distinctive style of braiding.So really what I am trying to say is THANK YOU MUM for aiding me on this journey in life LOVE YOU XX...
