A Brilliant Folly. Three words. But what do they mean? Let's break it down:
A = shows that there is a "something".
Brilliant = something ingenious; extraordinary.
Folly = a foolish undertaking.
But what does it mean together? A Brilliant Folly means taking on a task in which you firmly believe, even though other people may think that it's a foolish idea.
A BRILLIANT FOLLY was formed in late December of 2007. Going through different line-ups, the group you currently see is a fairly new one. With three guitarists, five vocalists, and a unique writing style, A BRILLIANT FOLLY is sure to bring something new and refreshing to your ears every time.
But what do they sound like? Like an eagle, flying through the air, and diving at a fish in the water. Like a car slamming into a wall in slow motion, watching the dummies head hit the dash. But perhaps Jake describes it best: "It's like getting hit it the face with a new tissue box with a brick inside."
It is the thunderous, driving bass. It is the technical art of softly killing the drums. It is the atmospheric, soaring, dreamy guitar lines. It is the tender melodies, the hardened screams. It is the beauty that is music. Perhaps this is what it was always meant to be like; music, that is. But you should decide for yourself what it means to you, and what images it paints in your mind.
