About Me
For the record (before I get into the actual bio), the style of music I actually write is symphonica and chillout, which was not available for me to put down for the listing info. Some songs, more or less, would have influences from other types of music like industrial or drum and bass, but usually it's going to have heavy emphasis on acoustical instruments with a techno/electronica overlay. I have been told my music sounds very movie like, or even something you would hear in a video game. Most of my songs tell a story, and are usually very dramatic. I am currently working on a soundtrack for a movie my friend wrote. But anyways, on to the boring stuff... I would have never gotten into creating music if it weren't for my father. It was Janurary 98' when he bought me this little program called "Magix Music Maker". It was far from a music maker, more like a noise generator. I don't know why he bought it for me, its's not like I had ever expressed any desire to make music, nor shown any sort of musical inclination. Well, the program sucked, and I got bored with it. So once again, my dad bought me yet another program called "Mixman" which was a hell of alot better. Before you know it, I start going beyond what the program was intended to be used for. It was designed as a real time mixer, you que up pre-recorded tracks, moslty synthizer riffs or computer beats, to "create" a song in real time. Well, I started taking individual samples (like piano sounds) and putting them in the 16 different tracks, changing the pitch of each, and saving the project as "piano" or as whatever other instruments I created. I had turned it into a sampler (which I knew nothing of at the time). I would then record actually hitting the computer keyboard keys corresponding with whatever track playing each of these tracks in turn creating actual music (not pre-recorded riffs). I basically recorded parts of the song in my head, then put it all together in the end. I had no idea what I was doing, and even less understanding that there were easier ways of doing this. I quickly liked the way symphonic instruments (that was all I had to make my own sounds) sounded with techno, but at the time I had never heard of any artist doing this. Techno has cool elements, but is usually souless. Pop music is usually too simple, at least for me. Classical doesn't have any "beats". So, I kind of feel like a pioneer. However, now there are a bit more artist that do what I do. But here we are, seven years later and still no formal musical training whatsoever, and still no real album (because I keep getting better, and I keep getting new equipment). Now I've decided it's time to put my music up again. I've uploaded my music on the internet before, but I lost faith in my talent for a while. Now, however, I feel confident in what I am making, and I wish to share it with the world. I am not interested in making any money off of it, I just like to hear people enjoy what I create. But if I do make any money, so be it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
