New York Uke Fest

About Me

Ukulele lovers from all over the world will converge April 3-6 in New York City for NY UkeFest 2008, a four-day extravaganza of concerts, workshops, seminars and world-renowned ukulele vendors.
Presented by The Theater for the New City, NY UkeFest 2008 is the largest ukulele music festival in the continental U.S. Last year’s festival drew 3,000 concertgoers, workshop attendees, performers and uke buyers from throughout the U.S. and Canada, with many visitors hailing from the U.K., Denmark and Australia. This year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better, so mark your calendar for NY UkeFest 2008, April 3-6, 2008!
The Pulitzer Prize-winning Theater for The New City (TNC) is a 4-theater, 40,000-square foot cultural center in the heart of New York City’s exciting East Village. Easily accessible by public transportation, TNC offers multiple stages, plus lobbies, lounges, vendor space and a special room for uke jamming. TNC is only steps away from an eclectic array of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and cultural attractions in one of New York’s most diverse and historic neighborhoods. All mainstage concerts are held in The Joyce and J Seward Johnson Theater.
