About Me

I just started playing my violin again! Lessons are going great and I'm finally at a place with it where I feel happy about playing rather than feeling like it is a job. I look forward to this particular outlet and feel more whole because of it.And who would have thought, but lately I'm spending more time on facebook. The myspace ads, popups, and spam are really annoying. Although I prefer the overall layout of myspace, most of my friends have made the facebook transition so over I go!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'm here to reconnect with people I already know. I am completely uninterested in meeting new ".. friends". In other words, if I know you, I'll consider adding you. I have serious horrible trust issues after being burned more than once, so adding people I don't know is a waste of both of our time. Anyone I don't know who attempts to add me more than once will be blocked. Same goes for multiple messages with such winning dialogue as "you are hott, hit me back sometime", or "I like your pics, check out mine", etc, etc, etc. Get a freaking life, people!

My Blog

Because crawling under a rock and dying was not an option.

In the 7 and 1/2 years that I have been single, I've become quite accustomed to the situation.  Sure, other areas of my life have changed, but on a day to day basis I've worked out my own routine...

How lucky am I?

I talked to my mom this morning and the news isn't great.  The economy has taken a major crap, and in turn her union has negotiated the worst contract in history with her company, Qwest.  Wh...

The Brown Palace Spa in Denver--4 thumbs up! (My big toes are thumbs too, right?)

(Very Powerful)

My mom sent this to me by email the other day.  While most of the stuff she sends me is eye-roll worthy, this made me think about everyone over in Iraq, especially my brother.  So here goes....

Turns out, I really DO love my brother

If you would have asked me 20 years ago, the answer would have been vastly different.  When we were kids, we fought to the death.  We embarassed our parents in public because we couldn't eve...

Rest In Peace, Picasso.

Picasso came to my Dad's house when I was a kid.  It was shortly after my parents divorced and I was 8 or 9 years old.  There were many stray cats in this neighborhood, and my brother and I ...
