About Me

Now. This is where you could help. If you like these songs of mine strewn about the myspace thingys and you are familiar with the playing of an instrument. Well. who knows. Much could happen. You could play music with me. Or I could play music with you. These days I'm pretty much good to go. As they say.

Band Website: www.greggcoyle.co.uk
Influences: To start with, when I was young it was the Beatles and it spread out from there forward and back the ways to Chuck Berry and such. Later it was Thin Lizzy and Steely Dan and Jethro Tull and there was lots of good songs going round. Later again it 'twere Paul Simon and the Gracelands/Rhythm of the Saints period. Excellent polyrhythms. Discovered the 6/8 thing when I was writing Moondog. The dread 6/8 that most people fear. Or so it seems. To me it's just an interaction between 3/4 and 4/4 with some 2/4 in there as well. Nowadays? That young beani Nutini. He's good and also faintly irritating. Cara Robinson. Daniel Bedingfield's wrap song. oh - make a list y'rself.
Sounds Like: As far as I know I couldn't tell ye.
Record Label: Shuffel
