About Me

“We are all part of the Goddess
“Nurturing females and troublesome males
“Plants and animals in space and time
"Arsenic to thyme
“We are all part of the Goddess
"All our molecules and vestibules
“Our quirks and quarks
"Our strings and things.”
--Owinda's Chant ( The Big God Network )
"I am staying on our lovely blue planet as long as there is air and water and fire and stone. I love the here and now. No transcendence of birth and death as sought by Hindus and Buddhists. That after all would be a rejection of women’s power and of the cycle of life itself. Of the Goddess, in other words. No, give me my earthly existence.”--Owinda
“Just because you’ve got a penis and excessive testosterone doesn’t mean you can’t learn to control your evil, selfish nature and become a responsible servant of womankind." --Owinda
I am a character in a novel, The Big God Network , which mixes science fiction with mysticism and world religions. I am a lesbian, feminist Wiccan witch, the high priestess of Goddess-worship covens that stretch from Venice Beach up the West Coast to Salt Spring Island. Many of them are in Pacifica, one of the new nations formed from "post-America." My main residence is in Goleta, near Santa Barbara, California. To learn more about me, you can read this excerpt from the novel: Owinda's Way .
You might also enjoy making the acquaintance of Sally Simkin and Baba Ed , two other characters in the following novel:
