Born and raised in NYC. Parents were both in show business, so I developed a great love of the entertainment industry. Trained as a civil/structural engineer. Fifteen years after graduating, began studying advanced management and organizational development principles which led to understanding how systems transform (not just change). Transforming human social systems became an overarching interest after I was introduced to the work of philosopher Buckminster Fuller. And the development of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) movement led me to launch Trimtab Management Systems, which is devoted to realizing the potential of the CSR movement by applying the principles of Systems Thinking to shift the movement from improving the parts of society to improving the whole. My participation in blogging on The Huffington Post and the Media Giraffe Project at UMass Amherst led to realizing the key role the media will play in supporting the societal transformation that is in the early stages of happening.
