Will you come take pictures for my band?
Sure! Message me and we'll talk about it. I am available for hire, and my goal is to make this a main source of income sometime so if you're serious about getting some killer live shots, then hit me up.
How much do you charge?
Email me...we'll figure something out. I have several packages available and monthly specials now and then.
Can I use one of your pictures?
Probably. But come on...I'm a struggling artist so please just let me know and it will not be a problem. Chances are I have a higher quality image on my computer...bigger and better. So please, don't rip me off, God is watching.
I heard you did photos for 'band' for free...why are you charging me?
I am fortunate enough to have met some truly amazing people and have grown to be some of my closest friends. They happen to be in a band...that's just how the cookie crumbled.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use a Canon 20D body with hopes of getting a 5D soon. 95% of my images are shot with a Canon 17-40L f/4 lens. other lenses include 85/1.8 and 50/1.8. I use a Canon 580EX flash...often fired into an umbrella. For studio/location work I use 3 Calumet Travellite 750s...two umbrellas and a soft box.
Do you have any more photos from "show" than what you put on your site?
No, sorry. I'm doing my best to choose quality over quantity. I know that upsets several people, and for that I'm sorry...I'd just rather have the shots I feel best represent what I was trying to capture up on my site.
How many people do the photography for this page? / How many people work for ForeverCaptive.com?
Both are run by one person, Mark Keraly...me. I run both the myspace page and the website itself, i am the photographer and webmaster. it's just me. Me me me me me. Me.
Will you do a Suicide Girls shoot for me? They say i need to supply my first set with my own photographer...
Yeah, sure. I'd be happy to set up a shoot with you, however, I've lost count of how many inquiries i've received of this nature. Don't write me asking unless you honestly intend to pursue. Be sure it's something you want to do before you waste both your time and mine. More often than not i find these people in love with the thought of modeling or being perceived as a Suicide Girl...that's swell. i like to close my eyes and pretend i'm The Incredible Hulk but at the end of the day i'm not begging to be featured in a comic book.
I'm a photographer and I was wondering if you could tell me how much I should charge to shoot a band, a model, etc...I have no idea how much to charge!!1 lol omg wtf
I'll be as helpful as I can without being rude, but honestly I cant tell you what your time is worth. If you're just starting out, do it for free and take your payment in the form of experience. I didnt start charging for photos until I was two years into this. If you feel you're ready to start charging, dont compare your rates to mine...honestly, it's in your best interest to formulate what your time is worth plus the effort put forth. Sorry I cant be more helpful. I put this here with full knowledge that it will only be ignored...
