Peter Siegel--OK--giving up the traditional bio but this is me-a bit too out there for the folk world, not cool enough for prime time.First of all let me say that my main movie these days is addressing that fact that we are living in the latter days of the Roman Empire. Take that any way you'd like. That said, here's my history:

_________________So, I was born in the NYC suburbs, grew up around Pete Seeger and the Sloop Clearwater, Deep down I'm a folkie. My bread and butter is dances, music schools and camps, weddings and Bar Mitzfahs. My passion is music that challenges our notion of reality and power and personally challenges the notion of what's considered folk. My inspiration is my communist grandparents, Phil Ochs, Run DMC, Miles Davis, The Beatles, Looney Tunes, Led Zeppelin, old time music, and TV theme songs and Jingles. OK. I'm a product of the multi media.

_________________Recently (the last 10 years) I've been touring solo and hanging and in the trad scene of the Pioneer Valley of Western Mass. playing dances and concerts with bunches of musicians--The Greenfield Dance Band, Beverwyck String Band, Les Z Boys, occasionally the likes of Wild Asparagus, used to play with a band called Underbelly-- yada yada
