Liberty, Friends, and the pursuit of Education is a documentary which will be presented at film festivals in 2008. This documentary will tell the story of African American history (in turn American history) from Pre-Civil War America through to today, and show the beginnings of African American Education which has assistance from the Society of Friends in Philadelphia, as well the abolishionist movement. This documentary will visit Underground Railroad related places to put the journey from the 1800's through to today into prospective.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the surounding area of Cheyney, Swarthmore, and Kennett Square in Chester County, PA are locations that were visited in the making of this documentary.
