Religion:
Agnosticism, which isn’t a religion but a belief that we do not have sufficient evidence to prove either the existence or the non-existence of any deity. I myself do not deny the possibility of a divine deity but I doubt the probability.
Ethnicity:
Cuban/Italian is the simple answer I used to give in the past, but there isnt anything simple about tracing back our genetic make-up... We have much more in us than we know! Our very definition of race lacks taxonomic rigour and validity because of its imprecise, arbitrary, definitions motivated by political agendas. Ethnic labels do give people a common bond amongst each other, but I think even more than that they divide people by giving them a sense of being different than other groups because of their cultural traditions, language, ancestry, national origin, history, religion, etc. Endlessly focusing on these differences has continuously produced intolerance, prejudice, bigotry, and hatred throughout history. The truth is we are more alike biologically than most would prefer to believe. If you really dig deep enough into your family tree you will eventually find the root from which we all have sprung, and you will have found that we all come from the motherland Africa, therefore are all part of the one human race.
