SHYST Born during the Crack epidemic, in pain driven streets of Brooklyn N.Y, Kenneth Lewis Better Know Shyst the hot tomolie became another product of his own environment. As a young’n he grew up in Harlem N.Y until the age of 11 adapting a city attitude and style of a city boy, the foundation was planted inside of him. Spending numerous of summers in the south with family, His parents soon decided to relocate and raise Shyst and his two brothers in Raleigh NC. Adjusting quickly as young teen Shyst instantly became an item in the Carolina’s catalogue of music money and authority. With his fast pace city mentality blending perfect with his over time develop southern twang and lifestyle, he witnessed himself create a new style of swagger a new sound and a new outlook on life. This style was call Country City, Then soon connecting with his Raleigh Born partner Ike Burnz , and link with one of the south premier indie label “Hazardous” soon put Shyst in a position to share and express this new swagger and sound of music and living the Country City life. Through Ike & Shyst’s music they plan to reveal the emotions of the people. Not just the south or the north, but the entire country city movement and beyond!!!
