About Me

Stone Relied is an intense energetic band with great music along with great lyrics. The band puts their music in its own genre called SLOP POP.Currently the boys are working on more material to rock all their fans, who we love and appreciate! If you are looking for something different then what you have been exposed to then come check us out and see a show! What have you got to lose?
The band Stone Relied was formed in early 2007 By Ray Bruening and Brian Zimmerman (from the late 90's band Anomie) along with Kevin Zimmerman (of Platinum blue & Thunderlips). At that time the band was a crazy Guitar & Drum trio, Jamming all the time with plenty of cops beating on the doors!!!
By late 2007 the band decided it was missing a good solid bass line so Ray Bruening turned to old friend Dylan Dudsek and it was back to rocking. The band planned to record a demo with the help of Cleveland native Billy Morris and sound tech Sam Jennings. Stone Relied then layed down several tracks for their first demo CD as well as building a strong set list for there live performances.
The band exploded into the local scene in the spring of 2008. In late spring of 2008 Dylan sadly parted ways with the band. With one show left on there Spring schedule and little time to recruit a new bassist, Kevin Zimmerman turned to his long time friend (and former NEO-TRIP/Platinum Blue band mate) Brandon Orloski to fill in the blanks.
SR continued to play through the winter of 2008 right into early 2009 when the band decided to take a small hiatus to calm their nerves. Several months passed and the future of Stone Relied seemed uncertain. Brian Zimmerman went back to school to be an IT Tech and with great misfortune parted ways with the group shortly after. Kevin Zimmerman earned his CDL and began to work driving long hours driving across the states in a Semi hauling materials. Brandon Orloski went on to finish his degree as HR Assistant and recorded another album with side project "Platinum Blue"(also featuring Kevin Zimmerman on the drums). Ray Bruening continued to work on his own material and missed the stage and his band immensely.
After a few mouths Kevin and Ray decided to put all the troubles behind,do what was in everyone's best interest and TURN IT BACK UP!!! They recorded a track "Butterflies" with sound tech Sam Jennings at his newly aquired Revolution Studio in Lakewood. Midway through recording Kevin and Ray enlisted the services of Brandon Orloski once again to record the bass track. Every since then they have remained a solid and tightly wooven group working on old material and moving straight thru Ray's song catalog at an astonishing rate. A return show was eventually booked for July of 2009. The Band decided that another guitarist was in great need in order to fill out our sound and give it a more dynamic layer. Ray recruited younger brother Will to step in as an all-purpose guitarist. Stone Relied is back on track and are looking to make the most of it all for the fans as well as ourselves of course.............. Keep on Rockin'-SR
