About Me

I was brought up in a musical household.&nbsp My father is a professional jazz pianist and my brother was a vinyl junkie.&nbsp I learned to play the piano and learned to spend all my money on vinyl! After playing around with an old midi stereo system, cutting loops, bouncing down to tape (as i couldn't afford any decks at the time) my mixtapes became legendary... Well at least in my class at school - EDIT, ok, with a couple of mates in my class at school...
I began properly DJ'ing at 15, way back when Ibiza was only a hangout for hippies!&nbsp Listening to Jeff Young on Radio 1 (the Pete Tong of his day).
After leaving school, now armed with quite an extensive vinyl collection I began to do the rounds, playing small pubs and the occasional rave night in dodgy clubs! 1991-1993, happy days.&nbsp I jetted out to Tenerife for a winter season and played in various bars, most notably 'Soul Train' in Las Americas.&nbsp If you were there in 1993 to early '94 I'm sure we had a beer together.
I landed an unofficial residency in the VIP bar at 'Love to Be' Music Factory, Sheffield, in 1994-95.&nbsp I played there a lot of times, because my mate was the resident and I wanted to be 'seen'.&nbsp Never got bloody paid though!
I had a show on Sheffield pirate radio Joy FM 105.8 for over a year.&nbsp I did the slot after Matt Hardwick on a Saturday night.&nbsp He landed a residency at Gatecrasher - I didn't, which is why you've heard of him and still probably wondering why you're reading about me!&nbsp Ah well, the twists and turns of life...
I wandered down the path of corporate entertainment and played many large commercial clubs... I know!&nbsp But it helped to shape me into a more versatile DJ.&nbsp It's great when I play Funky House in a nice cool club, I love it, but I also enjoy the challenge of playing 30 years worth of music to a demanding crowd of drunkards!
I've been producing (well most of my adult life), but professionally for around 11 years now.&nbsp I've had some reasonable vinyl sales in the past and am now concentrating on selling mp3's through new dance label 'Worx'.&nbsp You can visit them at www.worxmusic.co.uk
All the while I'm teaching DJ'ing and music production at schools and youth centres, pitching to Hollywood film studios and agents with feature film screenplays and I'm still skint!

and buy my music - I need a holiday!&nbsp I'm only kidding...
No, really, go and buy it!
Cheers for now y'all.
