Born from the ashes of a town that created One Life Crew, Ringworm, and Integrity, FENIAN is a response to a dwindling underground. As bouncers at Peabody's Downunder, we each saw firsthand the weak presence gracing our stages. Being there almost every day made us sick. Long hair, girlpants and grillz were just emo kids acting tough. Hardcore was losing its basic ideals and was slowly being assimilated into confused screamo fags and metalheads. What was missing from hardcore? Hard fast and simple. That's how it began, that's how it should die. The Fenians were a group of Irish-American warriors that invaded Canada shortly afteer the Civil War. Their mission: Hold Canada hostage from England in exchange for Ireland's Independence. Their rally point: Cleveland. After capturing Fort Erie in the Battle of Ridgeway, the Fenians were sent home by their commander to care for their families for fear the American Government would seek retribution. That's what we stand for. Our families broke their backs to form the country we have today, and we'll be damned if someone is going to smear their accomplishments. FENIAN is not here to create something new or dynamic. FENIAN simply wants to do what others did for us so long ago.
