Somebody told me that I should record my own acoustic songs.
This is a start of that, this is music I use as my therapy. It makes me happy and gets me through the confusion, maybe it could do that for anybody else. That would be enough. The music I put up will all be recorded rough and one take, some of it will be made up on the spot, expect new songs frequently.
Shakespeare Son – In Vino Veritas
What is it about a nice bottle of red that makes the truth come out? Tonight sitting at home listening to Tal Mir's (lead vocalist from the group Letters Burning) new solo project called Shakespeare Son I am motivating to start thinking about life, love and emotion. These tracks definitely have something to offer the mature music fan.
Music should draw out your heart, nearly bring you to tears, and then motivate you to take on the world. Once again, Mir's writing doesn't disappoint.
Although the currently posted tracks Public Affection, Baby on your knees and New Savior are EXTREMELY ROUGH, I can't help but be caught up by their intensity and heart. It reminds me of relationships gone by…but I digress.
Knowing what Mir can produce, I sincerely hope he throws these tunes (combined with his talent and passion) together and moves forward with Shakespeare Son. He certainly has plenty of potential and speaking as a former disaffected bassist…I am salivating at the prospect of what these tunes will sound like once rounded out.
Tal Mir and his latest project Shakespeare Son are on the right track and I can't wait to hear more…
