Vi-note

V-note is a solo artist who believes that music nourishes the soul. Born and raised in Chicago, she grew up listening to rhythm and blues. The sounds of classic artists such as Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin were always heard on the stereo. This music influenced her interest in singing at an early age. She often recalls a fond memory of singing her rendition of “ You Give Me Fever ” at five years old while her mother held a microphone, encouraging her to keep going. For V-note, it was the beginning of a passion for music and performance in her lifelong journey as a singer/songwriter. As a teenager she enhanced her vocal skills by participating in choir; she also gained acting experience in drama class. In college she received classical vocal training in private lessons, which improved her soprano/alto range. V-note collaborated with other musicians to record a song she wrote; this was her first studio project. In the late nineties, she was one of the lead singers in a local band called Mystical Entity . The music created by all involved with this group was incredible and indistinguishable from any other popular bands around. The band performed at several nightclubs and venues in the Chicagoland area. When the group disbanded, she worked with Jauqo IIIX, the founding member of the band, on a duo project. Jauqo IIIX is an amazingly talented musician who plays a 12-string bass guitar. Any artist who is passionate about their craft knows how difficult it is to remain focused while achieving goals, however it is important to never give up. V-note is currently working on a solo album, continues to pursue a dream of sharing her music with the world, and surrounds herself with creative, inspiring, and positive individuals.
