"I Live Where The Sun Meets The Earth"
Well lets see, Im in my mid 40s, I grew up inside the Navajo Reservation, I'm a Native American, an only son, with four sisters, I own a Metal Roofing Company that I started in 1992 to 2003, and in 2000 to 2005 I started a small Record Label, and in that time I had the chance to produced and record some groups..both companys took alot of my time, they are located in Albuquerque, but I won't leave the REZ, I thank God for who I'am each day, and I love my home and my family... My earliest memoirs of my young life are these:
(1)Riding in an old wagon with my grandfather and my uncles, seated next to cheii I remember the open air, and the noise the wagon made on the dirt road, we were coming back from getting wood, I loved riding that old wagon, It was AWESOME.
(2) Is the fear of going to school, BIA, ha,ha,ha..and as we all walked in the first day, they sat us on a metel chair and started cutting our hair, BOOT CAMP STYLE, ha,ha,ha..that was a major drag!!! Ha,Ha..
3)
But the one that really stay clear in my mind is this one, sitting in my Dads car as we drove thru a very bad snow storm, when I was 5 or 6, and I kept looking at my father, He knew I was afraid, and he would tell me, well make it, dont worry well get home. "The lord Jesus is with us", As other cars and trucks slid off the road, we went right thru it and made it home, but that was something that never left me, It made me understand that in this life we need a higher power to guide and protect us. Cuz we all know that each one of us go thru some major storms of life. so don't worry, just keep your eyes on the father above, and we'll all make it home.
I've been bless to find a kind and wonderful women, that I have share over 25 years with, We have three kids, that have made our life so complete.
Ive played music most of my life and cannot imagine my life without it. I started out playing the drums at a joung age but soon switched to guitar and have never looked back (Except to see who was playing drums) Ive been able to travel and have played just about every type of gig imaginable. Luckily, Ive always had the good fortune to play with some great musicians over the years and even though Ive occasionally felt like I was in over my head musically, Ive always tried to take the opportunity to learn from those who might know more than I. I consider myself to be a very versatile player and am relatively comfortable in just about any musical situation. I value a good guitar tone, the right feel, the right groove and tasteful playing..
I've enjoyed a Thirty-plus year career in the music business. "Three people catalyzed my relationship to my music". "First came my father, Chester, who gave me my first guitar at age 13, taught me some chords and bellered songs at me every chance he got!" "He was a carpenter who also was a minister".The next was Joe Iron, who show me a friendship that I will never forget, he played guitar and sang, as I watched him at our local church i was hooked, I wanted to play and sing just like Joe. The last person is my uncle Bobby, this guy was so cool, he would tell me one day you'll make music on your own, a guitar player, the first in my family.
