The 4th annual Cairns Winter Solstice Celebration & Lifestyle Gathering is a 4 day/3 night outback camping adventure, that will be held at SUGARBAG STATION, 30 km's past Mt Garnet on the way to Mt Surprise from June 12-15, 2009. Its a 3 hr drive, West of Cairns.
Featuring over 90 local, National & International Producers, Dj’s & bands performing on 3 stages, The Winter Solstice Festival musical line-up has something for everyone, with representation from Dub, Reggae, World Music, Progressive Trance, Minimal, Experimental, Psytrance, Glitch Hop & Trip Hop, Techno, Breaks, Dubstep, Chill, Ambient & Accoustic genres...
Winter Solstice 2009 will feature a vast array of entertainment, featuring over 50 site artists including Roving Performances, Installation Art and Site Installations, as well as a Children’s space, Dining by the River, an Outdoor/Indoor Cinema featuring Kiddies flicks & Mind expanding documentaries, Market stalls,a Healing Haven,Open Mic Jam session, Mask Making, Circus Performers, Contortionists, Canvas creating, Markets, Bushwalking & much more...
All of this, combined with hanging out in the great Aussie bush with all your friends, makes for a great weekend of fun & adventure…
