In my head it's still summer.

About Me

"Those who sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."

My Interests

Almost anything outdoors. Lately it's been running since that's all I have time for. I read a lot and try to stay active with volunteer and charitable work. I also love giving away concert tickets to shows I'd like to see.

I'd like to meet:

Cool people who enjoy nice things, good food, and having fun. If this isn't you, then you're probably in a persistent vegetative state. People who owe me money and anyone who actually enjoys driving in Chicago. I've got a few bricks here for both groups.

Music:

Humdinger, Bond, The White Stripes and The Racouters, The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie, The Candy Bars, Theatre Fire, Snow Patrol, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Ditty Bops, The Killers, Fat Boy Slim, and They Might Be Giants.

Movies:

I don't watch movies, but I do promote them. So you should go see any and every movie that Jason Moore has worked on. Watch them several times. He's the best set designer/dresser there is. Some recent ones are "Lords of Dogtown" and "Fun with Dick and Jane". He next big one is "Prestige". It's going to be awesome. Everyone who sends me a ticket stub will receive one free meal the next time they're in Chicago.

Television:

The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Adult Swim, Scrubs, and CNN. Who has time for TV?

Books:

J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis are cool. All I read now are school books. Quantum mechanics, cosmology, and early Christian books left out of the Bible are good reads and will blow your mind.

Heroes:

Forget heroes; just try to be a good person today and do it for the right reasons.

My Blog

The land of milk and honey-baked ham.

Well, I'm back in the Chicago-land area. It's been great so far. I've gotten to enjoy some real rain and practice all my handyman skills. I'm back in school and keeping busy with friends and family. M...

Good bye gay men and club chicks.

Well, I was laid off from my job on Friday the 12th of May. That kind of tested my resolve to not drink for the month of May. (I also quit smoking, but that is way over due and not a primary principle...
