Mielotxin

Mielotxin se forma tras el verano del 2.003 y en apenas un año consigue hacerse un sitio en las programaciones de los coordinadores culturales de Navarra, cosechando muy buenas críticas por la originalidad y calidad de su propuesta musical, donde tradición, y compromiso con la música de su tierra se funde con la modernidad, creatividad y juventud de sus componentes.En mayo de 2004 consigue el primer premio en la sección de Nuevas Músicas del Concurso Jóvenes Artistas de Navarra, y el segundo en el Eurofolk celebrado en Illora (Granada) En el 2.005 graban su nuestro primer trabajo que lleva por título "Empápate" y participan en la final de la VI Edición del concurso de Fol. Navelgas (Asturias). En el 2.006 consigue el tercer premio del Escenario Prau (Cantabria) y el primero del Fokez Blai de Ermua (Bizkaia). En el 2.007 consiguen el primer premio del III Concurso de Maketas Mendebala-Sopuerta consistente en grabar lo que es su segundo trabajo bajo el sello MDSK, que lleva por título “Almadierra”, contando con la producción de Modesto Refojo, guitarrista del grupo galego Pepe Vaamonde grupo, y la colaboración del pianista navarro Joaquín Taboada. Este trabajo marca un salto cualitativo en la formación, ya que queda plasmado el trabajo de estos años y su compromiso con tradición musical desde la perspectiva que el grupo le da.Han compartido cartel con artistas de la talla de Hevia, Flook, Eliseo Parra, Trádere, La Musgaña, Berrogüetto o Shooglenifty en festivales como Intercéltico de Sendim (Portugal), Festival internacional de Galdames (Bizkaia), Festival Pilar Folk (Zaragoza), Festival de Olatz (Navarra), Ensueños de Folk, Programa Cultur 04-07, Artistas en ruta 2.008… ............................................................ ........................Mielotxin 2003ko udan sortu zen eta 2004ko hasieran bere lehen kontzertuak eman zituen inguruko herrietan. Lehen emanaldietatik Nafarroako talde berri eta original bat zela agerian geratu zen. Urte eskas batean Nafarroako herrietako koordinatzaile kulturalen agendan leku bat lortu zuen eta kritika onak lortu zituen. 2004ko maiatzean Nafarroako Artista Gazteen Lehiaketan lehen sari bat jaso zuen Musika Berrien arloan eta bigarren sari bat Illorako (Granada) Eurofolk lehiaketan. 2005ean lehen lana grabatu zuen “Empapate” izenekoa eta Navelgaseko (Asturias) VI. Folk Lehiaketaren finalera heldu zen. 2006an Kantabriako Escenario Prau Lehiaketan hirugarren saria atera zuen eta irabazle izan zen Ermuko (Bizkaia) Folkez Blai Lehiaketan. 2007an Mendebala-Sopuertako III. Maketen Lehiaketa irabazi zuen. Saria bigarren disko bat grabatzea da MDSK diskoetxearen eskutik. “Almadierra” izenpean kaleratu da eta Modesto Refojo, Pepe Vaamode grupo gitarra-jotzaile galiziarraren ekoizpen lanetan aritu da. Baita Joaquín Taboada piano-jotzaile nafarraren laguntza izan zuen. Lan honek aurrerapauso kualitatibo bat suposatzen du taldearen muinean, bertan azken urtetako lana eta tradizio musikalarekin duen konpromisoa islatzen baita, beti ere taldearen ikuspuntutik habiatuta.Izen handiko musikari eskorekin jo dute: Hevia, Flook, Eliseo Parra, Trádere, La Masguña, Berrogüetto, Shooglenifty... ............................................................ .......................................Mielotxin was created in the summer of 2003 and in just a year it reached a prominent place in the cultural circuits of Navarra. As a result of its partcipacion in these events they got very good criticals due to the quality and originality of its musical proposal, where they merge the youth, creativity and moderness of its members with the compromise with the traditional music of their land. In 2004 they won the 1st prize in the seccion of New Musics at the New Artists From Navarra Contest, and the 2nd place at the Eurofolk Festival, which took place in Illora (Granada). In 2005 they recorded their first album, titled “Empapate”. They also participated at the Finals of the Fourth Edition of the Navelgas Folk Festival (Asturias).In 2006 They reached the 3rd place at the Escenario Prau (Cantabria) and the 1st at the Foked Blai, in Ermua (Bizkaia).In 2007 they obtained the 1st prize at the Third Edition of the Mendebala-Sopuerta Master Recordings Contest, which consisted in the recording of their second album, “Almadierra”. For this record they had the production of Modesto Refojo, guitarrist of the Galician band Pepe Vaamonde Grupo, and they had also the colaboration of Joaquín Taboada, a pianist from Navarra. This last work means a step forward for the band, because it shows the efforts realized by the members od the group during the last years, as well as their compromise with traditional music, which is understood under the group´s own perspective. Mielotxin has also played in other festivals, such as Interceltico de Sendin (Portugal), Galdames International Festival (Bizkaia), Pilar Folk Festival (Zaragoza), Programa Cultur 04-07, Olatz Festival (Navarra), Ensueños Folk or Artists on the Route 2008. At these festivals they have shared the protagonism with great musicians such as Hevia, Flook, Eliseo Parra, Trádere, La Musgaña, Berrogüetto or Shooglenifty.
