I was born in the UK with the music already in my soul. I cannot remember a time that music was not a huge part of my life. Moved to Canada in the 80’s and so begun my transformation. I spent many years traveling between the UK and Canada and it was a strange reality to live and feel at home in two completely different worlds. This was when I started writing poetry, it was the best way for me to express and understand myself. Growing up I sang in a few musical productions and did allot of theatre. The rush of being on stage for me as a child was everything.Dreams of singing fizzled out when I hit my teens and discovered my love for fashion. I finished high school, skipped college and went straight to work in the fashion business. My fashion career was short lived as I found the office life to be to quiet. I needed noise around me or better yet music around me. I left a stable career and steady paycheck and started working in the nightclubs of Montreal, Canada. The dj’s were amazing and the sound of house and hip hop brought me back to life. My journey through music then brought me to what would change my life forever and that was the late 90’s when I stepped into the famed after hours club Stereo. Stereo’s layout, the sound system, the style of house music, the dancers, the energy made me want to know everything about this mysterious world of underground house. I absorbed the sound and the lifestyle, and I was home.It was at Stereo that I met an up and coming Dj/Producer Marcelo Cruz whom offered me the chance to collaborate on his tracks. Cruz knew I was a writer and believed in my ability to sing. And that is how I got my start recording and releasing music in the deep house genre.Critics have called my vocal styling raw, sweet, soulful, deep, sexy, and smooth. All I know is if I’m feeling a beat, I pick up a microphone and a note pad and follow my heart. The result is just my soul expression.Years have passed I now reside in Toronto, Canada and continue to write poems and songs and practice my vocals in the hopes that one day I can reach people around the world with my message of love and hope.
