About Me

Kris Sour has opened for Patti Smith and Jeff Buckley. Press coverage has included The New York Times, Shout Magazine and the Glens Falls Post Star. Time spent on the music scenes in New York City, Toronto and Tucson led to the songwriting on the acoustic cd "Desert Whale Ghosts" which was produced by Paul Sprawl in Tucson. Featuring acoustic guitars, trumpet, melodica and violin, the cd was recorded in June 2009 at Signalhouse Studios.
Here is a CD review from Lucid Culture August 2009. Created in April, 2007 as the online presence for a somewhat notorious, now discontinued music and politics e-zine, Lucid Culture is as much a resource for adventurous fans of music and the arts as it is a necessary antidote to the reactionary, lockstep conformity that pervades much of the blogosphere.
