..Medi eM's fascination with music came in early childhoodas a beckoning and desire that demanded to be fulfilled. Medi started playing the guitar atthe age of nine and by fifteen he was performing on popular stages. At age 16 Medi moved toEngland and completed high school before moving to Madrid, Spain where he began to refinehis appreciation of the guitar against a burgeoning love of Flamenco. His experiences inSpain continue to have a tremendous effect on him both in terms of music and understandingthe links between Eastern and Western Cultures that underpins the music of that region. After spending his late teens and early twenties in Spain, Medi moved to the United Stateswhere he studied at Arizona State University completing a bachelor degree in Architectureand a Master's degree in Technology Management. While studying at Arizona State Universityhe formed "Suite No. 3", an extremely successful and multicultural Acid Jazz project. SuiteNo. 3 combined different ethnic and cultural backgrounds with the percussive rhythms of Funkand Soul and the sonorous tones of Blues and Jazz to create a unique voice welcomed by fansfrom across the United States.Whereas Suite No. 3 sourced the musical heritage of the Blues and Jazz, "Semillas" - a 2002solo album written, produced and arranged by Medi - is a project created as aself-reflection incorporating the musical traditions of: Flamenco, Jazz, Middle Eastern andClassical.
