LIFE VIBRATIONS FROM ESHE
The move for Eshe to a solo career does not come lightly for in the essence of most great performers Eshe does so having truly come from a very successful and accomplished history.(Herstory)
Since those early beginnings in the Church, singing and performing 'in God's house' with her sisters Sandra, Marcia and Michelle.The Escoffery's blossomed and went on to produce their first debut album entitled:Opinions/Atlantic Records.This 1992 debut album featured the single 'Look Who's Loving Me' which charted on both sides of the Atlantic and firmly established Eshe and her sisters on the music scene with their jazz inflected soulful sounds.
Whilst enjoying success as a group the sisters have all pursued solo careers and Eshe has nurtured and developed her own very distinct yet stylish genre.Underpinning Eshe's approach to writing and performing is a Nubian aesthetic hinged to a very deep rooted concept of her own spirituality which adds richness,vibrancy and a spiritual colour to her work.
In a career that spans 35 years (give or take) Eshe has been blessed to work with Baaba Maal,Omar,Don-E,Vanessa Mae and Laureate at the Royal Opera House to name a few.
Eshe's current work has been inspired by music from our original homeland,the middle passage to now and it reflects our collective soul as having always been synonymous.Eshe invokes the spirit of healing,life and soul through her music making the listener aware of the presence of Divine Spirit not just in the music but also as a part of their life journey.Once heard her music which she calls 'Purple Vibrations'would not be forgotten.
It is not a case of 'if' but very much a case of 'when' Eshe becomes a household name.Eshe is currently working on her debut album which will soon be released.In a world full of stress,pressure and strife Eshe in her singing,performing impartations brings the very thing we were created to appreciate and manifest LIFE.
