A staple of the northeastern electronic music scene, MikeYparkay has been handling every aspect of the electronica music community since his early teens. Dj, Promoter, Label owner, and also currently studying music production and theory Parkay is quickly becoming a highly recognizable figure in the electronica music culture.
Picking up His first set of turntables in 2001, Parkay learned the skill of mixing, cutting, and blending very quickly and began spinning countless local Nightclubs and Residency Gigs. The infamous Buttons Arcade was home for Parkay from 2002 till 2004 as well as monthly resident appearances thoughout Central New York. Teaming up with his then partner Dose the alien and the Bubblecrew Parkay developed his party promotion skills and started involving himself in some of the most recognized events in the Upstate Ny Scene including Quikk fixx, and the Longest running Halloween Event in NY "BUBBLE HALLOWEEN" going on its 15th year in 2009. Holding down his current residencies on the side at Upscale joints like Lava Nightclub in Verona NY and Trexx Nightclub in Syracuse Ny i his name quickly began rising through the ranks of talented artists from the area and headlining most major events upstate since 2005, including a VisionaryMindz tent at WEMF (World Electronica Music Festival) in 2008.
In 2006, he and dose the alien set up their first attempt at a digital label called Visionarymindz recordings of which focused on underground talent from around the globe. For 2 heartfelt years the label released over 17 tracks internationally and was recognized on many occasions in countless music pools and sights such as releasepromo and progressivehouse.com. Now in 2009 after 8 years of countless North american gigs in places like NYC, Conneticut, Toronto, Buffalo, Massachusetts, Florida and many other cities Mikey Parkay has solidified himself as a name of the future.
