Influences: Influeces for our unique style come from the hip hop, funk and surf rock genres. Some groups that have helped us shape our music are: Lyrics Born, Hilltop Hoods, Chilli-Peppers, James Brown, Led Zepplin, The Doors, Beastie Boys, John Butler Trio, Tower of Power, George Clinton, Grandmaster Flash, Doobie Borthers and many more!
Sounds Like: Sounds like?! Now this is a difficult one. Ollie our guitarist sounds like John Butler went to a Funk/Surf Rock school on acid and stayed till the very end !He is high energy acoustic funk with a successful heavy rock background. Sound interesting!? Sean our drummer compliments Ollie well having previously been involved in rock bands, he gives the kit plenty of stik and has evolved his tight style to our unique band. Rowan our bass player was in a Punk band and gives a very Chilli Peppers type feel. Now the MCs....MC Ambush can really spit rhymes really fast, whether it be well written, thought out songs with conviction or freestyle off the top of his head straight up rap. He has only been writing for a couple of years so me thinks his best is yet to come.Then theres Enate MC, he has been writing for about 8 years and and growing up with no electricity for the most part of his life, and a large influence from reggae, his writing has made a progression from Acoustic, folky written songs funky, hip hop influenced earthy politicaly driven lyrics...Your gotta hear us as one to really understand the sound!
