While studying Economics at the university of vermont, I found Afro-Cuban drumming. The discovery of Jazz soon followed and I began spending my time in the practice room. I started to hear music in a whole new way.
Since then i have been given some great opportunities. I've gotten the chance to study and perform with some of my heros, folks like Ray Vega, Bobby Watson and Johnny Griggs. I spent most of this past summer with a band called RubbleBucket Orchestra. After only a year together, we've put out an acclaimed album, won a Relix award and played for sold-out crowds at places like The Blue Note and The Paradise rock club. You can check us out at myspace.com/RubbleBucket.
Most Recently, myself and a group of Vermont musicians recorded an album titled "Beyond Human Aid." The 45 minute recording features some of Vermont's finest improvisers and tries its best to create the live energy of Jazz-centered-improvised-experimentation.
The work, released on Sept. 19th, is available for consumption by clicking the bellow link. There you will also be able to hear song clips and read more about the ensemble.
