Epilepsy Scotland

About Me

About me: Nearly 40,000 Scots have epilepsy. Children and older people are most at risk of developing this common serious neurological condition but anyone can develop epilepsy at any time - and 8 people a day in Scotland do. We want to make sure the needs of people with epilepsy are met. This is why we campaign for improved healthcare, better information provision and an end to stigma. Epilepsy Scotland wants to make sure the needs of people with epilepsy are met, so we promote changes in policies affecting your health, education, employment and well being. We work closely with health boards through Managed Clinical Networks (MCNs) for epilepsy to improve local services. We inform MPs and MSPs so they can raise questions in both parliaments about issues that concern you.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is interested in learning about the condition. People with epilepsy and their friends, relatives and employers.

We will do our best to ensure that the friends that are added will not bring Epilepsy Scotland into disrepute. We aim to check out our friends sites on a regular basis. We encourage people to contact us if they think the content on these sites is unsuitable.
