BIO: My name is Roman Luchkovskyy and as Atati i'm playing since 1999 and during this period always aspire to harmony and melodic in music. My parents are professional musicians, so my first steps in music starts from early years. In same time with school (where I liked to learn only English lang. and Biology :) + organised some school parties) I went to studiyng to the music school on piano class + drums. After finishing it I got a present - Stratocaster guitar with some pedals, processors and amplifire. That time I was full in rock, blues, acoustic, funk and jazz so I spent more than 8 hours/day to play guitar. Soon new age of electronic music came to my life and first psytrance party in Crimea makes me full by wish to start djing.
CONCEPT: I love to dream, to make waves and share the flight of minds with everybody on the dancefloor. No, its not the hit-parade :) In dj sets I prefer to select tracks to make a colorful journey with different emotions and states. Sounds of light, heat and depth constantly interwine with continuous energetic rhythm to which playing electronic percussions and a lot of sound effects are added. More often, it is morning music, but the archive always contains also something special both for night set and for daytime. In the beginning of 2005 my good Hungarian friend KrinyO has given birth to an idea about joint to a chill-out project in which I'm accompaning him on percussions and debut set took place at the Ozora festival (Hungary) 2005. Exclusive compilation by KrinyO and the percussion background created nice and interesting project for everyone, which exists as far as today. In the end of 2006 I began to compose own music which is part of the chillout project. It's downtempo, ambient... plus psy flying sounds and many people can already here it at the parties and festivals and also here on my space.
PERFORMANCES: O.Z.O.R.A. festival 2005-2008 years (Hungary), TRANSYLVANIA CALLING 2007 (Romania), HILLTOP festival 2005, 2006 (Slovakia), Save the Freaks III 2008 (Ticino, Switzerland) and a lot of other parties in Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary. Like to travel so much and to visit new and new places... meet new friends, musicians, artists... Prefer to play/dj-ing not only because of music, it's more like healing ritual which presents happiness and love to everybody around. The music is more like story, it's changing and similar to waves and periods of life. Could be funny and energetic, dark and cold, sometimes frozen but very fast get be hot and full of love and positive vibes. Hard to explain in words, hard to explain by listening recorded mix which is 1 hour... much better to feel it on the dancefloor!
Some more info: Was born and live now in a wonderful small city in the West end of Ukraine. That land is named Transcarpathia & is located behind tops of Carpathians Mountains. Many years ago this territory belonged to Austro-Hungarian empire. Everyone born there has in himself a bland of different nationalities. Merge of different cultures and mentality, the wild nature of mountains sated by falls, lakes and the rivers, rare flora and fauna – it is a source of energy of Transcarpathian inhabitants. Trance-culture has come there not so long time ago, but for these years had a time to collect together greater family to which new-and-new people come. Trancecarpathiarts (or Trancecarpathian Arts Unity) – this is the name of the group of people that were ready to help the organizations of the first trance-parties in every way and the main support to all this was provided by an old freak who currently lives in Canada… Today parties welcome visitors from all the world, share heat and all the beauty of the local nature.
