When i create music, my soul intention is to express myself in a non egocentric way. Sadly, a great percentage of popular music is made for mareting purposes, chasing capatilistic carrots and soullessly shoveling crap into our ears which we have slowly, surely grown accustomed to. The popular market is complacent with crap because they don't know the difference anymore.
I am humbled by music. I respect it and i perceive it as something which is beyond ego. When you are creating from a place of ego the latent energy of music is not realized, it becomes a ghost, a slave to selfishness. Musicians are sonic alchemists- we transmute formless emotion, concepts and ineffable spirituality into the physical world. When we attach the negativity we are all trying to escape and evolve away from, we are perpetuating the cycle. Music has the power to incite revolution, it has powers far beyond which people these days give it credit for. Why? Because we have forgotten what music is.
What i create makes my spirit calm and at ease, i wouldn't do it any other way. I can't promise it will do the same for you, but i am convinced it will be a pure experience devoid of anything i have mentioned above. I am a very emotionally charged individual; I have gone through dark times and horrible bouts of depression, but it was through these experiences that i found a way to express my soul and it has healed me exponentially. I know many artists have been down on the ground, but their journey of climbing back up is storied in the spirit of their expressions, something we can all learn from--for music truly is a healing experience. I know when i get shivers down my spine listening to something, i know it to be pure and created from a place no words or images could ever describe, from somewhere none of us could even comprehend. Indeed, music is Love in search of a word.
I was born in Southern Africa in a little country called Botswana and have moved around the world my entire life, places such as South Africa, Argentina, Namibia, England, Ireland and Canada. I've learned quite a lot about culture in this beautifully diverse sphere. I live now in Toronto where i am an audio tech, my company is The Lune Productions--we offer services in Film Post Production, Scoring and Music Production.
I hope you have enjoyed the music i have up here. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving it a listen. I feel strongly that i should be sharing this with you
Peace :)
