I'm a husband, Emcee, scholar, Luccumi priest, producer, teacher, and Hip-Hop ambassador. In 1996, eggun told me to move to Oakland and make my life as a musician and santero, so I did. A few months after landing in the Bay, I joined Josh Jones' Hueman Flavor, and Mingus Amungus. Witnin a couple of months I was buggin out, playing the Montery Jazz Festival.In '97 I met Rashidi Omari on a BART train, after a Zion I show. We formed Hip-Hop crew, Company of Prophets. A few years later, Deejay TreatUNice joined the clique. Company of Prophets is now recognized up and down the West Coast, from Vancouver to Los Angeles. We've played at the Sundance Film Festival, toured with Spearhead, and rocked with Goapele, The Coup, Zion I, Talib Kweli, and Grammy nominee Mystic among others. Strangely enough, we have a loyal little following in Mexico.From 2002-2004, I toured the planet with Grammy winner Omar Sosa playing venues including Blue Note NYC, and Tokyo, and Carnagie Hall NYC. CPs first studio LP, "Done Deal" is currently availible at www.companyofprophets.com. From 2005 - 2008, I served as a Founding Member and Program Director for Youth Movement Records in Oakland.
