UNDERGROUND LEGEND...
Having released his national debut, Psycho Active, in 1992 just before his incarceration for a gang-related homicide, X-Raided has been at the forefront of the Sacramento Hip Hop scene for over a decade, even from behind prison walls. Having worked with everyone from Brotha Lynch Hung, C-Bo, Big Hollis and Loki, as well as introducing Chopper, T-Nutty, and Big No Love to the rap game, X-Raideds fingerprints and influence are all over the Sacramento Hip Hop scene, and his fans have been starving for a new X-Raided/Bloc*Star project...Bloc*Star Entertainment was formed with the intent to cultivate and develop Sacramento artists capable of creating music strong enough to compete with the leaders of the Hip Hop industry as a whole, and put Sacramento on the national map as the Hip Hop hotbed that it actually is...Sacramento artists and labels have always promoted their individual neighborhoods in their music in the past, while failing to promote the citys Hip Hop scene itself, which would serve the greater goal of gaining national recognition for Sacramento in the Hip Hop world. Bloc*Star Entertainment exists to offer the world opportunities to get acquainted with Sacramento artists and our sound, and allow our product to be measured against the best the game has to offer. Bloc*Star will release music, biographical DVDs, clothing, and other merchandise, all influenced by and prominently displaying various aspects of the Sacramento Hip Hop scene with the intent of shining a spotlight on the citys talent while allowing them to benefit from their work...
THE IGNITION ALBUM...
X-Raided, whose albums have sold over 400,000 copies in the U.S. according to Soundscan, and Loki have joined creative talents to create the first album to be released through Bloc*Star Entertainment. The album is a compilation album highlighting the labels potent roster of talent. Loki, a long time affiliate of Brotha Lynch Hungs Siccmade Muzicc, reached platinum status with his appearance on Master Ps West Coast Bad Boys II, and is establishing a reputation in the industry as a solid performer and lyricist. The IGNITION album features appearances by T.A., Big No Love, Sav Sicc & Bleezo of The Trauma Unit, and others. IGNITION features production by Speakeasy, Epic, Loki, and G-Macc, who combine to create a project that is a step above, and an advancement of the Sacramento sound.
THE FUTURE...
2008 will be a huge year for Bloc*Star Entertainment. It's the re-launch of the label and with new talent signed, Bloc*Star will surely change the face of the Sacramento rap game.......
