Louie Linguini Plays Guitar

About Me

I started playing guitar in High-School when I was around 15 or 16. Played in Local Bands thru College, and after I graduated. Eventually, I got tired of the Band thing, and I wanted to concentrate on my Radio Career. So, I TOTALLY quit playing for a little over 2 years around the time Grunge hit. However, I started playing again for the sheer LOVE of it, and I haven't stopped since!I started this MySpace page to just give an idea of the kind of stuff I like to play. The sound clips/songs are just samples for you to check out. They are by NO MEANS supposed to represent or masquerade as "Professional Recordings". In fact, I'm not a serious musician....(Come to think of it, I'm not a serious person, either) :-). But, this IS a serious hobby for me. And even though I know so many Dudes that can smoke me on guitar, I still get an incredible amount of enjoyment from playing my axe! Admittedly, I'm a Complete Doofus when it comes to computers, as I'm just starting to get into recording on my laptop. However, hopefully, SOON, I'll get some better sounding samples uploaded. But for now, THESE tunes will have to do.A Quick Background On The Clips:SONG 1:... Louie W Ted "Cat Scratch Fever". Summer 2004. Recorded live on the radio when I was the featured musicial guest on a local music show (on our sister Rock Station) called "The Lizards Lounge". Since the musical guest was always required to perform a song on the show, (and since I wasn't in a band or anything), the only thing I could think of was to jam along to a Ted Nugent song :-).SONG 2:....Louie's "J.F.A". Spring of 2001. On a typical Sunday, I can usually be found on my living room couch, along with my dogs Alex & Eddie, sipping a few Corona Lites, enjoying Some Delicious Taco Bell Cuisine, while jamming along to a Drum Machine while recording on my cheap little Tascam Cassette 4 Track. This clip is an example of one of my Sunday Experiments.SONG 3:...DRG Guitar Forum "We're Stars". September 2005. This is a jam from an Online Guitar Forum I belong to. (Dinosaur Rock Guitar Forum). We decided to re-make "We're Stars", a Heavy Metal Song For Charity, That was inspired by the whole "We Are The World" Phenomenon. (Yes, believe it or not, there was actually a Heavy Metal Tune to fight hunger!). Anyway, about 12 of us cut Guitar Solo's for this jam. There are some REALLY GREAT guitar players on the Forum, and some Very Cool Solo's on this track. Check out the tune! Btw, My Guitar Solo is from 5:13 to 5:41.SONG 4:....Louie's "Dude Looks Like A Lady". Spring of '96. This was recorded AFTER my 2 year lay-off from Guitar. (And it was recorded on a Very Cheap 4-track recorder, so pardon the shitty sound quality on it). I had resumed playing about 9 months prior to this clip. I was really trying to get some chops back. So, as a Self-Indulgent Musicial Excersise, I set the backing track on my Kawaii Rhythmn Machine to "Dude Looks Like A Lady", and just Shred along for close to 5 minutes! lol Rawk On, Bitches!!!
