About Me

Hello One, and All!

This is the new-ish MySpace page of Endal Louis Passou. I'm a Cleveland native who moved down to the Live Music Capital of the World TM to pursue my dreams. And, amazingly, things started to happen (I was even nominated "Best Bassist" in Austin InSite Magazine). Those happy days, however, went kaput in 2006 when I was pushed off a Chicago stage by an overzealous fan. The incident --shudder-- not only caused physical injury, but was emotionally crippling. I couldn't play my bass, let alone face an audience, in quite the same way ever again. For a long time, I had to take a backseat from public performance and recording to recuperate. I even deleted my old profile. Now, with the help of my trusty keyboard and sequencer, I'm going to play some more music... Originals and covers. Go easy because I'm just getting back into this gig, haha, but I sincerely hope y'all like the tunes! -Endal Signup About

My Interests

Music:

Influences: Good music in general, all kinds. Usually I grab a few CDs from the Factory People shop and let them turn me onto new sounds. I have a particularly BIG soft spot for the "sensitive-leading-man" acts of the 80s: The Smiths, Orange Juice, Electronic, Voxtrot... All those classic acts from the UK! Some Hip Hop too, American or otherwise--I love the beats and drum machines. Can't forget the bass players either. Peter Hook, my main man!
Sounds Like: Hmmm... It's hard to personally reconcile the difference between what I aspire to and what I actually sound like, haha. It's like when one hears a recording of themselves speaking! I'd like to rub off a little magic from the legends mentioned above, but, for one, my singing isn't quite in key all the time. Maybe that's why I like "With a Little Help from My Friends" (especially the lyrics) so much. Go Ringo!
