About Me

Recently graduated Media student from University of Glamorgan, with a year at Central Missouri State University.
I'm trying to write a book.
Can you help? Leave your entry in my Blog or Friend's Comments!

I'll start it off and if you leave your piece in the 'comments' section, I'll add them. Thanks.
THE BOOK SO FAR.....
"David found the quiet solitude of his compartment a satisfying change. As the rain lashed the window, he peered out toward the darkness of the rolling countryside and listened for the repeating heartbeat of the train wheels churning through the night....".
Jessie: "Lanterns flickered by the wayside; lost souls of light enslaved to banish the fears of man. For the moon would not be seen tonight, as her beauty was hidden behind the veil of clouds. The sombre night was broken by the passing of another train. David's mind travelled with it and the human shells that it contained."
Adam, portland: It wasn't a particularly devastating scene to him. He had grown accostomed to it quite frankly. It was his life, his sheild, most of all.. his home. The stormy, dark streets of New Fortune was where he belonged. Yet he still wandered aimlessly among the tracks, like a fallen leaf whirling in the wind until it's inevitable rest and depressing crumble. He knew, but refused to address, the fact that one day they would catch him. And he would crumble. He could almost hear the whispers.
Pete Bazely: His mind wondered to the day he found that abandoned '7 eleven' store was the happiest day of his life, it meant the prolonging of his current mortal existence. The only enemy he feared right now was the one inside his own head. Boredom, loneliness and depression could never be stopped by planks of wood and steel nails.
Tom, Salisbury: David found the monotony of his job alleviating. The foreman wasn’t concerned with such trifling matters such as his name, who he was, what he’d done, so long as he turned up on time and completed his shift, which David did. No mental effort was required – he would drive nails, tacks, and pins into boards of MDF, raw timber - mostly pine – and so his mind was given free reign, occupied by… other things.
New Fortune was the perfect venue for someone like David to perform. It was a vacuum, a void, zero, an expanse of nothing – a landfill for the soul. It was located, nay nestled, in a sheer valley, an ancient catchment area of a long dead river. It was a place around which time and civilization was now diverted, a kind of socio-cultural-temporal oxbow. Many citizens of New Fortune’s mother state had trouble even remembering that the place existed, let alone being able to place it on the map.
David once again found himself loitering past the convenience store, like a carrion corbie hunched over this cadaver of consumerism. He slid a Cardamone Red between his lips, cupped both hands over the lighter, as if in prayer to the addiction that raced through his body like some chemical penance. He vowed as a kid that he would never take up smoking, but then again as a kid he could not have imagined of the acts he would commit in his later life…
