I AM SO FAR FROM BEING PERFECT AND THIS MAKES ME ACCEPTABLE.
My first contact with art happened in poetry. I'v been exercising it since I was 7. At the age of 16 I started to publish poems and essays in some literary magazines. Ultimately (so far) I have had 2 books published.
The next chapter in my career involved working as a reporter for a daily newspaper.
Then I was an editor and translator at the cultural magazine "Contemporanul" in Bucharest, Romania.
Deciding to turn from a career in words to making music professionally about 5 years ago I moved from Romania to Germany. It took awhile to get started but for three years now I've been touring throughout Europe, performing mine and the music of others.
In 2005 I released an album of traditional Romanian music. "My Romanian Soul" approached the rich folk music of Romania in a simple accoustic mood. This year, in Germany, I recorded my first original album "The Sweetest Chain".
I used to perform in the duo "The Burns"; I played guitar and sang.
Sometimes this duo extended to a four-piece band. In addition to my regular duo partner, Terry Lee Burns (USA) I had Erhard Hügel on electric guitar (Germany) and Ovidiu Zeres (Romania) on drums. Now I'm performing alone, me and my guitar.
