Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, raised in Providence, Rhode Island, DJ D-Wun always had a passion fo anything dealing with music and dancing. It wasn't until his high school years that he realized he wanted to persue his passion of music and started DJing. Making mixtapes with what shotty started equipment he had and selling to his peers in school,slowly working his way into doing events and parties for the school and students at Classical, but dances for Mount Pleasant, Times Squared, The MET, etc. and moving up to college events for Bryant, URI, RIC, etc. Slowly moving up in the ranks for local DJs, he linked up So Black Ent. and kept working on new mixtapes, doing local universities radio stations. When things seemed to be coming together, the members of So Black Ent. went their seperate ways to persue bigger goals. After which D-Wun and his manager, Knowledge hooked up with other local DJ Franchise and joined up with Team Franchise. Since then he has had the chance to do shows with such artists as Joe Budden, LeToya Luckett, Ne-Yo, and meeting Akon, Elephant Man, Pharrel, and others. With his eye on the prize there doesn't seem any stopping his grind and soon, all will be familliar with the name, DJ D-Wun.
