About Me

Born on an autumn day in the 80..s, in Prague (Czech Rep.).... Grew up in a small country between France, Germany and Belgium called Luxembourg... Becoming a teenager, I was getting more and more intrested in music.... So I started to play the classical guitar, becoming in ..05 a member of the European Guitar and Mandolin Youth Orchestra (E.G.M.Y.O).... The first contacts with Jazz followed soon during a workshop with Olivier Stalon, Marc Mangen, Fred Delplancq and Kris Duerinckx.... In ..06 I switched to double-bass, having lessons with Marc Demuth at the music school in Echternach.... Thanks to him, I started to know more&more about jazz, the instrument, life as musician in general.... Soon I started to met the local jazz musicians like Maxime Bender, Benoît Martiny, Pascal Schumacher, George Letellier... In May ..07 I passed the exam of ..Première Mention.. at the music school in Echternach and in June ..07 I was accepted at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, where I study since Sept. ..07 with some great theachers like Jos Machtel, Nic Thys, Frank Vaganée, Bart van Caenegem, Dré Pallemaerts in the Jazzdepartment and Jan Buysschaert (VRT Orchestra, Prometheus Ensemble) for Classical Double Bass. I attended Masterclasses by Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Mark Turner, Tyshawn Sorey, Pascal Niggenkemper, Quinsin Nachoff, Stéphane Galland, Erwin Vann, Bill Carrothers, Nuno Ferreira and I have played in two BigBand projects, one with Andy Haderer and Heiner Wiberny (Lead Trumpet and Lead Alto of the WDR-BigBand) and the other one with Frank Vaganée (Artistic Director of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra).
