A raving love disappointment, after August holiday, made me extremely restless and anxious, so that among many stratagems, mostly vain, who crossed my mind to repel Anxiety that was devouring me,
I set up a band under the clock in my beautiful city's square.
Why - I wondered - to dust not again guitar & scores and, supported by willing and jocular friends, to play not and sing all for fun, involving maybe other people, variously aged?
So Michele advised the name "Under the Clock":
here you'll listen to a song whose text is Shakespeare's 15th sonnet (an absolute and moving love poem I tried to set to music keeping the crescendo and the atmosphere words suggest).
It was only the second time we played together,
so be indulgent:
it's all4fun or, if you like better, it's all4love.

Una delirante delusione d'amore, dopo ferragosto, mi rendeva oltremodo inquieto e ansioso, tanto che tra i molti stratagemmi, perlopiù vani, che mi vennero in mente per rintuzzare l'Ansia che mi stava divorando, vi fu quello di fondare una band "sotto l'orologio" della piazza della mia bella città ; perché - mi dissi - non riprender la chitarra e gli spartiti in mano e, spalleggiato da amici compiacenti non meno che burloni, suonare e cantare per puro divertimento, magari coinvolgendo altre persone, dalle età le più disparate?
Così a Michele venne l'idea di chiamarci "Under the Clock": qui proponiamo, tra le altre cose, una canzone il cui testo è il 15° sonetto di Shakespeare (una poesia d'amore assoluto e commovente, che io ho tentato di musicare mantendendo il "climax" e l'atmosfera che suggerisce); era solo la seconda volta (10 ottobre 2007) in cui provavamo assieme, per cui siate indulgenti nel giudizio: it's all4fun o, se volete, it's all4love!
