My Enemy Death formed at the end of August 2003, to reflect on life and loss and to make a record that represented the full spectrum of their collective life experience. Guitarist Peter DiStefano, founding member and songwriter for the hard-hitting and hugely popular nineties alternative band Porno for Pyros, conceptualized the project together with singer/songwriter/producer Mikal Blue(15mg., Republic, Augustana, Five for Fighting). Mikal invited multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Justin Knox(I Hate Kate) to play bass and he in turn brought in long time friend, keyboardist Corby Jordan of cutting edge Dallas band The Love Remote.
