Circus

About Me

"Energy and quality! Circus’ set blew the Newport University audience away… within a few electric bars, we wanted them back to headline next time!”
Jonny Roberts, Entertainments & Media Officer, University of Wales, Newport
Frontman/guitarist Sid Batham and Bruce Fielder on synth/keyboard have been the driving force behind CIRCUS since the band formed in 2005, while the lads were still in high school!
Gigging regularly in their home county of Norfolk and in and around London, CIRCUS ramped it up to secure support sets for The Automatic and Stone Gods last year.
The introduction this year of drummer Matt Hewitt and bassist Angus Taylor has put a massive, driving energy behind the band's original, guitar-driven sound - to deliver a punchy powerhouse of a live set!
"Sid Batham has the the musical virtuosity of Prince, the captivating swagger of Jagger ... and the youth of a puppy. It’s all a bit unfair!"
