“It’ll all pay off, all the blood, sweat, and tears.” And it has thus far.
Snipez is an underground artist, but he has a couple of traits that lead away from most underground artist. One would be the way he delivers his message in his songs. The way his voice make such an impact could make one feel as if they felt his exact pain or what Snipez was stressing in the song. Versatile could ring a bell as well. Name any style and Snipez will openly try it and most likely end up with a very well rounded song. There are only a few topics Snipez refuses to touch, “Cap Rap” and “Ring Tone Rap”. In his mind the styles is very simple, far too easy, and there is no lyrical structure. “Candy Rappers” or “Laffy Taffy Music” is what he say would remind him of this music. He stresses in many songs how a war has been started and there is no turning back now, and how he will strive for excellence and will do whatever it takes to destroy the “Cap Rap” name for good.
Started recording late in 2006 with RhythMIK, started everything. Snipez has been writing since he can remember, he has been recording since he thought of putting his voice on cassette tapes. RhythMIK and Snipez recorded their first song together at one of their close friend’s studios. The song was not an ordinary song; the song was thrown together and had no structure. Snipez introduced himself as well as RhythMIK in the first verse and RhythMIK followed. Switching back and forth with verses, RhythMIK went with a slower pace, as Snipez went at a much faster pace. This song was a landing point and gave them a unique sound. The songs title is “FOREVER”.
The song “FOREVER” and many others were featured on their first album/mix tape titled “Collaboration.” This CD was a combination of trial and air, they worked only 3 months on the CD and then they dropped it to the public. The song had 17 tracks on the CD and everyone was an embarrassment to them. They had little to no feedback on the CD, and the feedback they received they did not like. Hate was soon an everyday thing for the two artists as they hit the studio once again to prove they had it in them.
Soon recording turned into a job for the both of them, they hit the studio everyday and would spend hours at a time on songs. Recording and producing was soon turning to perfection as they released their second album, “Back in the Mix-Tape”. This time they used all exclusive instrumentals, instrumentals no one had heard before. This CD took much longer to release, about 8 months to wrap the CD up. Once released, they had positive feedback but still not enough to satisfy the two.
Soon linking up with Dom P. they started to do shows. Skeptical at first they jumped on a Tech N9ne show, and rocked every minute on stage. This only had RhythMIK and Snipez in love with performing, as well as many more shows coming their way.
After releasing “Back in the Mix-Tape” RhythMIK took somewhat of a break, as Snipez kept at it here and there. They were in the works of a new album titled “Hip-Hype”. This album has been two years in the making and is no disappointment. With this album they have shown lyrical skill, what they stand for, state that the war has begun against “Cap Rap”, “Ringtone Rap”, and “Fake Music” in general. This CD was released October 3rd of 2008. To get a copy of this CD contact RhythMIK or Snipez. It’s FREE!
Now these two Mc’s are in the works of a 4th album, “Lyrical Artillery”. This album will be filled with un-released tracks, much more lyrical than any of the other albums they have released. Be on the lookout for more information on this new album in the works!
