University of Florida
Graduate Student Extraordinaire
I was a graduate student, but I also consulted on the Comuputer committee, and participated in a number of research activities with the NASA KC-135 Weightless flight program and a low pressure experiment at the University of Guelph. Dabbled in Radio Astronomy a bit, but primarily worked in Rob Ferl's lab working on some starch experiments, but more excitingly developing evolutionary databases that, when complete, might explain the ride of multicellular organisms from the soupy mess of bacteria-like life. Keyword: Complete.
Lockheed Martin, Missiles & Space
Associate Scientist
I landed this job after a very successful summer in the NASA Ames Astrobiology Academy. Essentially, I continued to work on the same project with PI Jeff Smith; further developing a video camera that could be operated remotely from within a benchtop centrifuge. It was a lot of fun working at Ames, especially making the life-long friends with everyone in the Academy

About Motorbikematt
I'm a 30 year old kid quickly realizing that I'll never grow up. I've been very fortunate to have been exposed to a wide variety of experiences & a number of cool places. Perhaps one of these days I'll settle down, but in the meantime I'm going to continue the fight to have fun and get paid to do it. Projects on the Burner. Trying to graduate with the Master's Degree, Developing Exploration Solutions, Inc. into a world class Research Assistance and E/PO business; trying to get all my websites setup, like this one and this one, traveling to Australia, Europe, and more of South America, eventually making it to Antarctica; wrapping up my AMT certificate, getting the SpaceTEC certificate, getting my EMT, finishing up my Dive certs, work on a movie . Who I'd like to meet Cool folks, especially those I've lost touch with. Science types, you know, the ones who can carry a good conversation. Activists, those whom have a passion for something AND do something about it. Musicians, especially those with talents to share. Athletic types, no...not Deion Sanders, but someone who likes to dive, climb, hike, skate, bike, & stuff like that. My NAABA2k folks, you know who you are....Friends
