Voice of the People

Founded in November 2005, Voice of the People is a production company based in central New Jersey. V.O.P was established to provide opportunities to individuals passionate about the arts.The V.O.P motto is "We want to enlighten, educate and entertain our audience."At every show, the audience comes away satisfied in terms of entertainment and, depending on the theme, educated about the different things that are going on around them or their community (i.e., February is Black History month; March is National Women's History Month.) Structuring poetry events towards a specific theme has helped V.O.P. use it’s talent to continue to educate and make people aware and considerate of the differences in not only opinions, but also beliefs and life experiences celebrated and shared by others. Events such as dance battles, hip-hop shows and lectures are also another facet of the V.O.P organization.Besides the artists themselves, V.O.P is comprised of a phenomenal “behind the scenes" team. Without their strong dedication and hardwork each and every event would not be as successful as it has been. V.O.P thrives on quality - anyone can put together a show - but what makes a V.O.P. show standout is the structure, dedication, passion, and positive attitude of the team.
